Report from the business trip, Switzerland, Dvořáková Prokešová

From October 24th to 29th, 2022, I was on a business trip in Switzerland. In Basel, I took part in the "11th Meeting of the Innovation Group Aquaculture" seminar organized by the "Swiss Food Research" association, where current trends, innovations and challenges related not only to Swiss but also to European aquaculture were presented. Then, I visited the Department of Agronomy, Forestry and Food Sciences at the Bern University of Applied Sciences, where I participated in fish biometrics, sampling, and processing of samples from an experiment with dietary insect meal supplementation in European perch reared under conditions of an experimental recirculating aquaculture system. Furthermore, I had opportunity to visit a total of seven commercial fish farming facilities for production of European perch, pike-perch, wels catfish, and peled whitefish.
