From April 12–17, 2026, the Nontarget 2026 conference, organized by ETH Zurich, was held in Ascona, Switzerland. This prestigious event, held once every four years, serves as a forum for discussing state-of-the-art NTA, trends and challenges in non-target analysis of organic compounds, ranging from the human exposome to effect-directed environmental analysis. I participated with a presentation entitled “Nontargeted Analysis Workflow as a Tool for Management of Contaminants of Emerging Concern in River Basins”, which summarized our results on the application of passive sampling and non-target analysis in surface water and groundwater studies.
