From 14 to 19 September 2025, Anna Koubová and Ganna Fedorova undertook a business trip to Switzerland. The purpose of their visit to the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (Eawag) in Dübendorf was to deepen their expertise in environmental analysis and molecular toxicology. At the Department of Environmental Toxicology, they participated in laboratory training focused on testing the acute toxicity of chemicals in fish using the RTGill-W1 cell line (OECD TG No. 249). Additional training aimed at enzymatic activity methodologies, particularly in vitro biotransformation enzyme assays with fish-derived biological material. Their stay at the Eawag also gave them the opportunity to present their research findings in a lecture at a scientific seminar. Meetings with researchers from thematic groups in Environmental Analytics, Molecular Toxicology, Bioanalytics, Microbial Communities, and related fields proved valuable for knowledge sharing and opened opportunities for future collaboration.
The University of South Bohemia supported the business trip within the PPSŘ 24-25 07/FROV – International Mobility programme. Special thanks go to Dr Marco Franco from the Department of Environmental Toxicology (Eawag) for his outstanding collaboration and for organising the business trip program.
