Watch out for the cinematic glimpse of one of the latest TNA projects implemented within the Aquaexcel 3.0. The TNA project Alphasperm was hosted at the IAPW FFPW USB. Dr. Frank Pfennig from TUD Germany has an established research model – a long-term stable hierarchy of Nile tilapia males. The combination with the experience of Dr. Deepali Rahi Roy in sperm nutrition and metabolism and functional measurements of fish sperm at the FFPW creates a promising and powerful research collaboration.

The TNA project fits very well for international collaborative research work. It allows scientists to network and initiate joint research projects across borders. Dr. Pfennig and Dr. Rahi Roy would like to thank Aquaexcel3.0 for the research funding. It provides access to techniques and equipment that would otherwise not have been possible. The project also brings experience to researchers to apply and accomplish other big-scale European Union-funded projects.
