Popis programu

A comprehensive and versatile study programme, Fisheries and Protection of Waters explores the biological, ecological, and technological aspects of fisheries and water management as well as the issues related to the protection of aquatic environment. In addition, the programme also provides insight into various related fields. Students are expected to gradually expand their expertise in the core focus areas - in case of fisheries, this applies in particular to special fish farming, fish reproduction, and breeding; in case of water protection, the focus is primarily on the protection of water resources, actions to support wildlife biodiversity, open water management, wastewater treatment, and the aspects of aquatic contamination. Fishery and water protection are considered as inseparable and multi-faceted areas, studied in the context of legal regulations and the latest trends and needs. Within their study journey, students may explore in more detail the genetics and reproduction of fish, special aquaculture, or further aspects of the protection of waters.
