CALL FOR ČSOB PROJECTS
At the end of 2024, the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice successfully concluded a partnership agreement with ČSOB JSC. The agreement reflects a shared commitment by both parties to promote environmental stewardship and sustainable practices across various areas of human activity. Particular emphasis is placed on supporting biodiversity, sustainable fisheries, water conservation, fish processing, and the marketing and consumption of domestic fish products. The partnership also includes support for a scholarship program aimed at talented students.
“I consider this a major achievement and a strong recognition of our work to date. Establishing cooperation on socially significant topics with such a prominent Czech banking institution as ČSOB JSC is a great success,” said the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Tomáš Policar.
As part of the agreement, the faculty has committed to developing at least six sub-projects that will address current environmental challenges and the other key areas mentioned above within the Czech Republic.
“It is both a commitment and a challenge for us to contribute to fulfilling our social responsibility,” added Prof. Policar.
It is worth noting that communication between the two institutions had been ongoing for some time, and the signing of this agreement represents a natural outcome of that long-term dialogue. The results of this collaboration will be published on a regular basis.
